You just got to the end of your Fig & Fire candle and while this may totally bum you out (we get it!), there is a silver lining: our white glass tumbler candles have an added benefit - you can easily clean and repurpose them to give them new life!

When I get to the end of a candle, I never throw the container away. I will do one of three things: test out a new scent I'm creating, re-test existing scents with new batches of wax, or repurpose the container in a new way.

Why test new scents?

Our scents are made from essential oil blends, which burn differently depending on the scent concentration, wick, wax, and container combination. When any of these variables change, that impacts how the candle burns. Creating candles in small batches and testing (and re-testing) scents have allowed us to maintain exceptionally high-quality candles that burn evenly, from edge-to-edge, leaving little to no black soot, and remaining fragrant throughout its life.

Why re-test existing scents? 

This is a safety precaution because the soy wax used to make the candles is all-natural. It is crucial that we test each batch of wax, just in case something in the environment changed the characteristics of the wax (which would cause the candle to burn differently).

How can I repurpose the white glass candle container?

There are so many ways, but here are a few of my favorites: succulent container, flower vase, pen holder, loose change storage, potpourri container, and holding bobby pins and hair ties. You can keep the container as-is or use paint pens to decorate it. Let your imagination run wild!
